Mjoka to contest Prix Longines Future Racing Stars

4th Year Apprentice Mpumelelo Mjoka will be jetting off to France shortly to contest the Prix Longines Future Racing Stars to be held at the Chantilly on Saturday 17 June. Mjoka, who will be under the guidance of Gauteng Jockey Academy Riding Master Robert Moore and South African Jockey Academy Principal Graham Bailey, said he was very excited to be chosen to represent South Africa and was looking forward to the experience.
“I am very excited to represent South Africa at the Prix Longines Future Racing Stars, especially since this is my first international trip. Previously, South African apprentices such as Calvin Ngcobo, Franklin Maleking and Mathew Thackeray have done well in this race and I hope I can do the same” Mjoka said.
The 4th year apprentice is in decent form and has had 23 winners so far for the season with 79 places and is up for the challenge and will represent South Africa proudly.
