Maiden Juvenile Plate – 1000m

American Trilogy (Sail From Seattle) was found to be not striding out on debut, if she reproduces her Natal form the filly should be a major player. Scootaloo (Toreador) is always there abouts and could be rewarded for consistency. The lethal combination of Muzi Yeni and Corrie Lensley team up with, Asian Princess (Captain Courageous) who makes her debut, she is suited to the sand on pedigree and should run accordingly. Secret Swing (Doowaley) is another horse making her debut in this contest, her dam won on sand and she should be included in all quartets.
Race 2
Maiden Plate - 1000m
1 – 7 – 4 – 6
Oliver Queen (Var) makes his first appearance at Flamingo Park, he was placed on the polytrack in Durban and looks the one to beat in a weak maiden. The latter’s stable mate is the filly, Britain’s Best (Great Britain) she was disappointing last time out, but is better than that effort would suggest and can place here. Judd Power (Judpot) may be better suited to 1200m, but he has an eachway shout on a good run when last seen in action. Summer Fashion (Miesque’s Approval) produced a below par performance in her most recent race, chance on penultimate start.
Race 3
Maiden Plate - 1400m
8 – 1 – 2 – 3
Heavy Hitter (A P Answer) was making steady improvement prior to being given time off, he should relish the rise in trip on breeding, and Muzi Yeni taking the ride is a bonus. Chestnut Troop (Horse Chestnut) didn’t run as well as expected in his last outing, but his prior form indicates that he is capable of winning a maiden, he has an eachway shout. Sacred Fort (Rock Of Rochelle) is in the same boat as his stable mate, it’s only a matter of him producing his best on the day. The filly Imagination (Visionaire) also represents the Stephanie Miller yard like the previous two horses mentioned, she isn’t really suited to the distance, but could earn.
Race 4
Maiden Plate - 1800m
2 – 1 – 3 – 5
Lee Ann (Lithuanian) is crying out for this type of race, the step up to 1800m appears to be a smart move on the part of conditioner Jannie Borman. Blue Hydrangea (Visionaire) had valid excuses last time out, she could threaten on her penultimate effort. Miesque’s Secret (Miesque’s Approval) is not the stable elect from the Lensley stable, but with that said she is course and distance suited and could feature. Green Report (Ideal World) did run a below par race when last seen in action, but she is capable of making the frame on her previous form and cannot be left out of any bets.
Race 5
Pinnacle Stakes - 1800m
4 – 6 – 9 – 11
Roy’s Dispren (Windrush) is absolutely flying at the moment, he has won three on the bounce and doesn’t appear to be stopping at the line, so he deserves the benefit of the doubt when it comes to the rise in distance. First Sea Lord (Ashaawes) has been there abouts as of late and could get involved in the finish. The latter’s stable mate, Rocket Falls (Windrush) is a course and distance specialist and can thus never be discounted, he is one to watch. Two Gunsy (Bold Silvano) has shown that he has a fair amount of ability on the sand, and is definitely one for all quartets.
Race 6
MR 63 Handicap- 1600m
7 – 9 – 2 – 1
Ms Holly Golightly (Spectrum) was a runner up last time out, she looks capable of going one better in this event and a good draw will help her cause. Arizona Sun (Greys Inn) could get her career back on track as she returns to racing over a mile, she has eachway claims. Jozi Babe (King’s Apostle) bounced back to her very best in latest and she could pop up again if reproducing that effort here. Gronzy (Bankable) ran a much improved race in her last start and she could get into the mix, she must be included in everything.
Race 7
MR 62 Handicap - 1600m
12 – 5 – 11 – 1
Corrie Lensley and Muzi Yeni have a very interesting runner in, Beachmaster (Bold Silvano) he is very progressive and should go close to scoring. Red Hot Russian (Russian Sage) his post maiden performance was very encouraging and he looks capable of giving them some cheek. Dr Finley (Captain Courageous) is a very consistent campaigner and should he overcome his wide draw he’ll be a live runner. Double Bind (Victory Moon) is a hard knocking individual and he should be about the action again.
Race 8
Mr 84 Handicap - 1000m
1 – 3 – 7 – 8
Fatal Attraction (National Emblem) is on a three race win streak, and she looks capable of landing another score here. Easy To Please (Newton) is a very honest sort and he will surely give them plenty to think about in this event. Mr Mcsteamy (King’s Chapel) is relishing life in the Northern Cape and he should be involved in the finish. Green Boegatti (Right Approach) is always there abouts and he has claims of earning another cheque with Evert Pheiffer in the saddle.
Race 9
MR 62 Handicap - 1200m
1 – 6 – 2 – 11
Seven Tales (Seventh Rock) attempts to complete a hatrick of victories and she should go close to doing so. Anaar Kalee (Tiger Ridge) makes her post maiden appearance in this event, but she looks progressive and could run a place. On The Thames (Battersea Park) is a 1200m specialist and she is capable of giving them some cheek on her best ability. Switched On (Atso) is a real wildcard selection, however she could make quartets pay if she makes the frame, this is her preferred distance after all, thus giving her a chance.
Race 10
MR 68 Handicap - 1200m
11 – 5 – 2 – 4
Trade Emblem (National Emblem) can provide the upset, he’ll have bottom weight on his back and this should aid him in striding freely around the track. Bonfire Heart (Trippi) loves this course and distance, which makes him very competitive every time he tries it. Ground Breaker (Miesque’s Approval) could get his career back on track returning to racing over 1200m, a place is not out of the question form him. Elusive Singer (Elusive Fort) makes his local debut in this contest and he could earn a cheque for his connections.
