Race 1

Weak maiden with the favourite Seven Sovereigns making the most appeal. Double Gold has a top work rider up and could improve into the placings after a moderate first effort. Royal Standard could be next best in an extremely difficult race to read.

Race 2

Holiday Romance is a strong first selection from the powerful De Kock stable with Callan Murray onboard fresh from Hong Kong and winning around the country of late. La Girona is lightly raced and further improvement is expected. Watch for the first timer from the Azzie yard, Schengen Gal, currently unfancied at 14/1. The other unraced runner Go Thuli Go is at 5/1 antepost. Expect a good run from the Tarry inmate.

Race 3

Red Indy looks the right one in a competitive maiden. Just beaten in lastest. Big Parade with Simons from the De Kock yard is 4/1 antepost and could be in the running. Lake Kinneret placed 4th in her debut effort and looks to repeat that effort. One to consider. De Kock's other unraced inmate, Tango Man, has Murray on board. 9/1 antepost in the betting.

Race 4

Cavalleria, the German import impressed on debut and looks a strong first choice. Van Zyl/De Melo team up for Maine Chance and this Galileo filly looks hard to beat. Noceur has done little wrong but could be second best although she beaten the favourite last time out. More exposed form would make this one a second choice with the Van Zyl filly seemingly more likely to improve on the debut. Wild Lady has had many chances but outside the top two the race is open. This filly is expected to place. Speak Soon could be the improver with top jock Weichong Marwing onboard.

Race 5

Plum British could be lining up a third win in a row in this tight handicap. Up in class after the two latest victories. He is up 5 points from his latest win but is unbeaten this course and distance. The handicapper may not have caught up with this gelding as yet. Bizjet is dropping dropping in ratings and in class after some moderate efforts but could be well off in this type of race. One to watch. Blue Diamond Road is another big runner from the Alec Laird stable. A drop in class from a good latest off a low weight. Higher now in this MR 72.

Race 6

Mrs O could be a decent sort in the making, unbeaten one from one she looks hard to beat. Surcharge was all the rage in the betting in her win in only her second start but the Mrs O for line looks more intriguing. Chili Lime could provide the spice in this event after an excellent second, improving from previous. Heaven's Door returned to form last time out and looks  good place bet.

Race 7

Burundi Bush has the services of Smanga Khumalo onboard. Lastest was behind the impressive Shimmering Sea. Not a confident first choice but makes appeal. Claremorris may have had her winning run when winning both her maiden and handicap debut thereafter. Seems a place bet though. Modjadji raced in her latest in Kimberly with two wins from her last two starts. Could place.

Race 8

Very open contest that is reflected in the betting. Moshav is not a confident selection in this minimum sprint trip. Should be speedy and hopefully hold on for the win. Manx Park has never been far off and on the Moshav formlind there will be little to split the top two in the weights. Dynamic Force is fairly lightly raced and will be in the shake up. One to watch in a close contest.

Bet opinion. Take the double Cavalleria into Holiday Romance. For the treble backers. Add Mrs O.

Watch the tote for value in race 8. Could be good place dividends on offer. Moshav could be a good place bet. Beware with the handicaps. But the value is always great in open races.
