Lupo (Dan De Lago) returns from a lengthy absence of 136 days, but he has run his best races on the poly and could be competitive on that basis. World Dreamer (Dream Ahead) produced the best run of his career last time out, ignore his only start on this surface, he clipped heels with another horse on that occasion. Mighty Mercury (Pathfork) found 1400m to far when last seen in action, he could feature on his penultimate effort where he was placed over the course and distance.

Torrey Pines (Judpot) produced a promising debut when finishing the runner up over the track and trip, she has been rested for 77 days since then, but that is of little to no concern. Georgina (Miesque’s Approval) has been ultra consistent, she has earned in 7 of her 8 starts to date and could be a threat to the top selection. Seattle Spark (Sail From Seattle) makes her debut for the Forbes stable, she is out of Star On Stage by Sadler’s Wells. Roy’s Marlin (Al Miqdaam) has shown improvement with each start and can make the frame in this event.

The Vintage (Mogok) ran a cracker when making her poly debut, she does have a wide draw to overcome, but jockey Muzi Yeni is an absolute master when it comes to racing on this surface and the sand at Flamingo Park. White Winter (What A Winter) has earned in both starts to date and could be competitive on that basis. Daydream Believer (Oratorio) makes her debut for the Drier yard, she is out of the Best By Test mare, Fine Feather. Laters Baby (Kahal) may be wanting further, but she does have claims of being involved in the finish.

Over Sure (Mogok) tends to be about the action more often than not and he looks extremely competitive with that in mind, he ran a good fourth behind, Bishop’s Bounty last time out. Waltzed Home (Rebel King) is one to consider, his current form is solid and he could make his presence felt if overcoming the draw. Monte Christo (Trippi) ran a much improved race when last seen on the racecourse, he shouldn’t be to far off them if able to reproduce that effort here. Miss Varlicious (Var) would be better off in a five furlong event, but she does have earning potential.

Strummer (Var) looks set to make a return to form after a pair of below par efforts on the turf, this course and distance suits him down to the ground and he could represent some value on the tote. Hard To Play (Curved Ball) won first time out at Scottsville, he appears to have loads of ability and might be one for the future, this run will tell racing enthusiasts what he is all about. Yankeedoodledandy (Brave Tin Soldier) has been placed in his last two starts and could be a factor on that basis. Fire The Rocket (Kildonan) must be one of the most unlucky horses around, he is generally in the mix when he gets good position and is not interfered with.

Gunship (Sail From Seattle) could bounce back to her very best as she returns to racing over the minimum trip, she might go off at a nice price to. La Revere (Var) has been disappointing all things considered, but she might show more on the poly. Hashtag Strat (Great Britain) is a decent sprinter who could pop up on any given day and must be respected. Old Em (Trippi) has been there abouts as of late, she is capable of much better and can get a look in on her best ability.

Tweed Valley (Pathfork) produced a promising post maiden effort over the course and distance, she looks to go one better here. Seatops (Mambo In Seattle) ran a honest race behind, Chamber Maid last time out, she has claims of running another good race in this event. Ginger Biscuit (Admire Main) rounded off quartets when last seen in action, she has an eachway chance. Vargraves (Var) will have her first run out of the maidens, it would not be a surprise to see her earn.

Courageous King (Brave Tin Soldier) gets the nod in this staying contest, he settled for second last time out and could land his second career win with Warren Kennedy up. Dom Seguidor (Traffic Guard) has that come on look about him, he should get better with time and racing. Captain Coyote (Captain Al) enjoyed the sand in Johannesburg and he could be competitive and provide the upset here. Discourse (Go Deputy) has a definite shot of making the frame, his last run was over the mile which is to short for him and the 2000m will suit him much better.
