U S GRADE 3 FOR CHAMPS ELYSEES

ELYSEA’S WORLD (IRE) gained a deserved win at Graded level in Saturday’s Suwannee River Stakes at Gulfstream Park, and thus provided her sire Champs Elysees with his ninth Group/Graded winner. Trained by Chad Brown for Sheep Pond Partners and All Pro Racing LLC, the five-year-old mare had previously been placed seven times in Graded contests and her breakthrough victory came at the expense of stablemate and recent Listed winner Dream Awhile, who she beat by a neck.

The nine furlong Grade 3 boasted a purse of $150,000 and victory brought ELYSEA’S WORLD (IRE)’s earnings to $423,383 from 17 career starts. By aforementioned Castle Hyde Stud sire Champs Elysees, she is out of Ideal World (IRE), who FBA bought from Darley at the Goffs February Sale for €11,000.
