ORBY BUY REMAINS UNBEATEN IN AUSTRALIA

KINGS WILL DREAM (IRE) maintained his perfect record Down Under when taking the $300,000 Listed Mornington Cup on Saturday for Darren Weir. The four-year-old was sent off favourite and after tracking the leaders, switched three wide and ran home strongly under Dean Yendall to win by an impressive five lengths. The win was made all the more exciting by its reciprocal ballot exemption from the Group 1 Caulfield Cup later in the year.

The gelding was bought after a maiden victory at Pontefract for Micky Hammond, when he was names Subic Bay (IRE), and was a €50,000 purchase by Blandford Bloodstock at the Goffs Orby Sale as a yearling. Bred by Steven Nolan and sold by Mountain View Stud, KINGS WILL DREAM (IRE) is a half-brother to five winners, including Cesarewitch winner Leg Spinner (IRE) and the ultra-consistent Togoville (IRE). His unraced dam is a daughter of Grade 1 performer Revasser, from the family of Prix de la Foret heroine Etoile Montante, champion two-year-old filly Special Duty and multiple Grade 1 winner Sightseek.
