RACE 2:Maiden Juvenile Plate (F) 1200m Straight

LA PUCELLE made a fair debut last time and looks ready to improve. LAS RAMBLAS has raced three times and her last two runs have been good. She stayed on well this C & D last time.  SMOOTH SORBET must come into the reckoning on an improved last effort when staying on. Watch the betting on the first timer from the Gavin Van Zyl yard, CHAMPAGNE LIZZIE. MAKUBA raced green when making her debut last time and still managed a creditable fourth. Watch!

RACE 3:Maiden Plate 1200m Straight

BOMA KING ran on when making her debut last time this C & D. He must have a good chance on that run. IMPERIAL PALACE was sent out as favourite on debut last time. He lost ground at the start, raced green and did not kick on. Give another chance. Watch the betting on the first timer from the Mike De Kock yard, MESQUITE. BON AMI will need to repeat his penultimate start over today's distance. GRENADE has steady form and has been placed in the top three in fifty percent of his races. This is his twenty fourth start.

RACE 4:MR 71 Hcp (F & M) 1950m Bend

ALLIANCE ONE has fair post maiden form. She never showed in her last start but had good form before that. Stable is in form. May show but not one to get excited about. SWEET TALK just faded out of it over further last time but the from looks reasonable. LA NEGRITA has lost her running on ability in her last two. If running on she can score. PHI must rate a fair chance if repeating her improved latest run. TOOWOOMBA had to work hard to beat Bezame' last time. Bezame' has won since.

RACE 5:MR 74 Hcp (F & M) 1600m Bend

SYLVAN SHADE  ran a good race considering the strength of that field that day. He should go close in this field and an apprentice allowance should suit. SWEETIE PIE (Mike De Kock/Anthony Delpech) won her maiden by over seven lengths last time. That win was most impressive and she should go close if that run does not need to be confirmed. SOSTANZA looks as though she could be coming back to form. Stable has found some spark in recent meetings. VILAYET is unbeaten this C & D (2 from 2) ands there should be no reason as to why she should not be challenging for the number one spot. CREAM CHEESE stable companion of SWEETIE PIE ran a good post maiden last time and can fill a minor placing.

RACE 6:MR 92 Hcp 1400m Bend

TWO TONE has been scratched.  DANISH SILVER has good form but has been running over further. Despite that he has won over this shorter trip. DYNAMITE MIKE has done well against stronger but can never be relied upon to run consistently. WEST COAST GOLD is down in class but will have some work to do to win on current form. SMART AL has shown improvement in his last two. Takes on stronger than in his last two and could surprise. GREAT SOVEREIGN is never too far back but the wide draw on the sharp 1400m could hamper.

RACE 7:MR 76 Hcp 1400m Bend

KAIZAR has won his last two. he may still be difficult to assess. Can make it three in a row. Sean Cormack rides again. RORKE'S DRIFT came back to form last time when running on the stand side track over the distance. Chance on that run. HONOUR IN GOLD (Mike De Kock/Anthony Delpech) ran into problems last time and 2was slow to start. Has faced far stronger. Can find himself in the shake up. NEWSAGENT is never far behind and will be finding late. THREE DEGREES is fairly reliable and can place again.

RACE 8:MR 76 Hcp 1400m Bend

OMEGA WARRIOR (Sean Tarry/Anthony Delpech) has the form to win comfortably. He has won at this track in his only start here. Will be doing his best work late and should be in the firing line. CHARLES GREIG has only won once but is so consistent that he could just about sneak in. WINTER CRYSTAL is unbeaten this C & D but has the tendency to be inconsistent. Still needs to be considered. AVALANCHE WAY looks to be back in form and has promising apprentice  Jasurick Jordaan riding. FIRST CLASS ACTION has good post maiden form and stayed on last time.

RACE 9:Maiden Plate (F & M) 1600m Bend

EQUIPARADA (Mike De Kock/Anthony Delpech) made an excellent debut last time when sent out as favourite. He had interference as well but managed to run on. Will be hard to beat. Stable companion PENNROCK makes her debut. Watch the betting. Well bred and promising jockey Muzi Yeni is back on board for Mike De Kock's stable. CANDID GIRL showed big improvement last time and should improve more. KENMARE HOUSE should have her latest start ignored. Will be better today. SPEED QUEEN needs to find more to win but can place. DAY LIGHT STRIKE has improved in her latest two starts and looks set to break her maiden soon.
