RACE 1:Maiden Juvenile Plate (F) 1000m Straight

SPANISH LULLABY showed very good improvement in his second start last time. Can go all the way this afternoon. Watch the betting on the well bred first timer, GINGER CAT. OH SO EASY made a fair enough debut last time. Should improve. KISS FROM A ROSE was sent off a s favourite on debut last time. Did not show. Consider on betting support last time. INTO THE TWILIGHT makes her debut. Watch the betting.

RACE 2:MR 74 Hcp 1000m Straight

SOUTH DAKOTA has very good form this C & D and should prove to be difficult to oppose. RAIN MAN has steady form and should be the principal challenger. TORCH SINGER did not show against stronger last time. Place chance in this field. BALLINAMORE could be improving. VERBATIM is another one who looks to be improving.

RACE 3:MR 70 Hcp 1300m Bend

DESERT KITE has some fair decent form against slightly stronger. Runs well at this track and could benefit from an apprentice allowance of 1.5kg. DANCE FOR JESS has shown improvement in her last two starts. She has only won at this track. Strong chance. WHEELS OF FIRE ran a a fair post maiden effort last time. Has claims. FORENZIC is never too far back but will be running on. COUNT DUMANI has yet to race at this track. Did show some small improvement in his last two.

RACE 4:MR 69 Hcp (F & M) 1400m Straight

BESHAAYIR has shown improvement in her last two. Not much to beat in this race. ENDLESS JOY has very good and consistent form against similar fields. Will be doing her best work late. JUBILANTE ran on well to win against slightly stronger at this C & D last time. Every chance of repeating. SOUTHERN DIXIE did not show over further last time. Should be better this distance and with blinkers. SURGING SECRET has improved with the blinkers in her last two. Place chance.

RACE 5:MR 86 Hcp (F & M) 1400m Bend

ZAAFIEL runs well at this track and drops quite sharply in this event. BREEZE BAR is improving again and has an apprentice claim of 4kg. HAIL THE HEARTY is never far back and could be running on. DANISH DIVA has been racing against far stronger in Cape Town. First run in PE and has won over the distance. HURRICANE KATRINA has steady form against stronger and is always a possibility.

RACE 6:MR 72 Hcp 1600m Bend

POULNABRONE won very impressively by over five lengths last time when racing over this C & D. Enough to suggest that he might repeat. SALUTE THE SKYE had to be worked at to just get up close home over 1800m last time. Has won this C & D. One to consider a serious runner. MANGALISO did not show last time after having maintained some good form. Ignore that run and consider for this afternoon. GO DIEGO GO has good post maiden form. Not out of it. FIFTY SCENT could be improving.

RACE 7:MR 90 Hcp 1600m Bend

SOCIAL MASTER takes a sharp drop in class and loves this C & D. Ran on strongly over slightly further last time. The one to beat. REFINED IN FIRE dropped in class last time and ran on well over shorter as well. Should challenge. SAVANAH PARK improved with blinkers last time and they have been removed for this afternoon!!! LORD BADGER tries the blinkers for the first time and looks to be improving. VITAL MATCH enjoys the distance but did not show in her penultimate start which was his first at this track.

RACE 8:Maiden Plate 1600m Bend

COSI FAN TUTI has yet to run a bad race. Chance if running on once again. Good form could see him pick up his maiden today. FOLLOW THE LIGHT has fair form and may improve to run close. CAPTIVATOR is improving. Beware. FORT WILLOW has improved since racing in PE. Chance if repeating his penultimate run. SUNSET TRADING improved by seventeen lengths last time. Respect on that improvement.
