RACE 1:Juvenile Plate (F) 1200m Bend

COLD APPROACH won her maiden by eleven lengths at the fourth attempt last time. That win was this C & D. Could repeat. LECTURE QUEEN won her maiden last time but at the sixth attempt. Had been showing good improvement before that win. DALALAAT has begun to improve her post maiden form. ROOI NOOI ran a good post maiden last time when fading late into third this C & D. SOLS GOLD won on debut last time. Yard in very good form.

RACE 2:Maiden Plate (F & M) 1450m Bend

VILLAHERMOSA did not show over further last time. Will prefer the shorter trip of today's contest. ATALAYA improved by eight lengths last time when staying on over 1600m. Has placed over this distance. CRACKER DOBA improved to finish second last time but was still a whopping eleven lengths back. Was slow away. CERISE SILK has no form but her penultimate start was her best by quite some margin. THE ANGELUS made a fair enough debut last time. was slow away and proceeded to race green. Should improve.

RACE 3:Maiden Plate 1800m Bend

BRIDGEWATER improved by eight lengths last time despite losing ground at the start. Has it all to do but is improving. MAYBE BABY has improved in his last three starts. THIRD TIME LUCKY is back over his more favoured distance. That is about all he has in his favour as far as form goes. MASTER OF HOUNDS showed good improvement last time. Respect in this field. ELUSIVE CLUB tends to fade but yard and jockey have the form to conjure up a win here.

RACE 4:MR 68 Hcp (F & M) 1800m Bend
 
ALAMEIN ran on strongly this C & D in her last three runs. Her record this C & D reads a first, a second and a third from three runs this C & D. Form is good enough for her to be a top bet. GLAMAZON ran on strongly at Turffontein over the distance when showing good improvement last time. FIRST TO FINISH must be respected on a thirteen length improvement when staying on over shorter at this track. Only wins and places have been at this sand track. HOCKUS ran on strongly to win over the distance at Turffontein last time. Consider once again. DYNASTY ROSE runs well at this track and can give a good account of herself.

RACE 5:Pinnacle Stakes 1450m Bend

FOLLOW THE PIPER was an unlucky loser last time when stumbling during the race. Still managed a second place. SAYADAW ran an improved race last time and should be a factor. MR TOBIN is currently favourite with the bookmakers and has the form to warrant that support. Has only lost one race on this sand track in seven attempts. One concern though is the fact that he has only won over shorter. On form and class he must not be left out, but distance is the concern. SERMON had no form until he won this C & D last time. Must be considered. MR. PREMIER has improved beyond recognition since moving to Gauteng with a satellite yard. Won over further last time. Again, distance is the concern. Include in as many exotics as possible.

RACE 6:MR 83 Hcp (F & M) 1200m Bend

UGLY BETTY did not show last time. Good chance on earlier form. LAUREN CANYON could be improving again. DELTA LIONESS ran a moderate post maiden last time. Won her maiden this C & D two runs ago but this should be much harder. MEXICAN GLORY held on to win over further last time. That was a much improved run. Respect.LEGAL ACCOUNT has improved since moving from KZN. Ran well on the sand last time. Money chance.

RACE 7:Pinnacle Stakes 1000m Straight

CAPE WINTER disappointed over further last time. Should be a factor back over this distance. Won two in a row before latest mediocre effort. CANDY COTTON showed very good improvement last time. Loves this C & D. MANNEQUIN also loves this C & D and has the form to go with it. RENEGADE is a bit off form but look for an improved run this afternoon. SUPER BOY has moderate form but chance if producing a good finish.

RACE 8:MR 68 Hcp 1600m Bend

SILVER SPECIALIST has improved in her last two starts and could be ready to win a race such as this. BERRYMILLER is consistent and will be running on. Good chance. THE WESTERN ran a very good post maiden last time, but it did take him forty one runs to win his maiden! USHKADEL fair form and has a definite money chance in this field. SURGING CAPTAIN has no form but is one that could get the trifectas and quartets to pay.
