RACE 1:Maiden Plate (F & M) 1200m Straight

CATALOJ has had two close up seconds in her last two runs. Could go one better this afternoon. AFLOAT ran her best race last time when running on this C & D. Should be right there again. TAMARACK also ran her best run to date when caught on the line over the distance. Has steady form and was running on last time over 1000m. Should improve. SCENTED ASH made a good debut last time when running on late from near the back of the field.

RACE 2:Maiden Plate 1200m Straight

SYNDICATOR has a very good chance on his previous two starts. Last start was disappointing. KINGS EMBLEM did not show last time after a good debut the run before that. DOUBLE NELSON ran his best race to date last time. Chance if confirming that improvement. GRANDE ALADO runs his best races over this distance. Excuses for last run as that was over a distance too far for him. TOWER POWER may place on his penultimate start.

RACE 3:Maiden Plate 1600m Bend

LOVE IS MAGIC is improving once more and is a big runner in this race. Will be running on. Another who will be running on is SENOR DOBA and he should be better suited to this distance. NEW RESOLUTION disappointed last time but has been in better form before that run. SILVERANO ran well in his PE debut last time. Has claims on that run. FATHERANDSONS has patchy form but has a money chance on his penultimate start.

RACE 4:MR 78 Hcp 1600m Bend
 
CAT VIEW takes a huge drop in class but has also been racing well in that superior company. Will be running on and is C & D suited. GOTHAM PRINCE has been there or thereabouts in his last few runs. Is C & D suited. LONDON'S LEGEND has steady form and at best will make the frame. KEIGAI made a very good C & D debut in her first PE start last time. Must be respected in this race. DAVY BOWY was running on late last time but could still have something to find for the win.

RACE 5:MR 91 Hcp (F & M) 2000m Bend

FLY EMIRATES has the form to win and will be doing her best work late. INCA'S SPIRIT is never far off them, but has her problems by losing a couple of lengths at the start. Yet she must be given a chance.  ROYAL WAGER has not won in a while but has done well this C & D before. Another who does not have the best of starts is BELLA AROMA. She still runs on despite that and with a light galloping mass must have a chance. WATER NYMPH has not won in quite a while but has been threatening to improve in recent times.

RACE 6:East Cape Breeders Stakes (Listed) (R120 000) 1200m Straight

CHEKECHE has been consistently good since moving to PE. Loves this C & D and will be running on late. Stable companion, KWACHA, is inconsistent but will also be involved at the finish if running on as usual. STATE BLUE must have a very good chance on her run behind EBONY FLYER when she finished less than five lengths behind in eighth place. SEPTEMBER MOON has improved in her last two starts. Money chance. HOT GIRL has not run for four months. She has won four from five starts with a close up second in a feature last time. Do not ignore.

RACE 7:MR 90 Hcp 1200m Straight

FINANCE MINISTER is consistent and he runs well this C & D. Good chance. OXFORD DON will be running on. Apprentice claim of 4kg will help. THREE CAPTAINS has improved in his last two starts. Has faced stronger. AFRICAN ALLIANCE also has very good form. Likes to come from behind. THE FORD is one that could cause the upset.

AIR POCKET disappointed over further last time. Best form this distance. Apprentice claim of 4kg will help. TALL SHIP did not show last time when casting a shoe. ALBERTS VIGILANCE has his chance on his penultimate run. JUDGE'S RULES did not show last time. Apprentice claim of 4kg will also help. JETSCREEN is still a two year old, but is not out of it in this field.
