RACE 1:Maiden Plate (F & M) 1000m Straight

CHERRY TRIPPER looks hard to beat on her excellent debut last time when running on strongly over the distance. The first timer, ADVENTURE GALLERY (Dennis Drier/Sean Cormack) is well bred. Keep an eye on the betting. ROSIE THE REBEL (Duncan Howells) looks to have improvement to come. The balance look to be ordinary, to say the least. Those that could sneak into the money are the first timer, SUPER GIRL and CATCHING ZEDS who improved by fifteen lengths last time, but still manage to finish ten lengths back in eighth!

RACE 2:Maiden Plate (F & M) 1000m Straight

The scratching of CAPE VESTA and BELLA BLUE has left the door open for the seven remaining horses to fight this one out. The first timer, WILD TALE (Gavin Van Zyl/Brandon Lerena) cost R75 000. Could be worth following. Another first timer to consider is HELEN BACK (Alec Laird/Anthony Delpech) should also be considered. ON YOUR BIKE looks likely to improve. Another first timer to consider is HERE WE ARE (Michael Roberts). He cost R160 000. Will have her supporters. LAGO may improve on a poor debut.

RACE 3:Maiden Plate (F & M) 1400m Bend

ABOVE EMERALDS (Charles Laird/Anton Marcus) has run well in her last two starts. Does find extra and could find this trip even more "friendly". INDIGO CHILD has the form to win but not the draw. Could finish up near the Howick Falls! RED ROCK LADY was well supported on debut last time but raced green and disappointingly. Will improve. Has a winning chance. I like the look of the first timer, GOLDEN DYNASTY (Gavin Van Zyl/Brandon Lerena). LUNAR LADY should earn something in this race.

RACE 4:Maiden Plate 1400m Bend

SERVICE OF SILENCE (Dennis Drier/Sean Cormack) has run three times for a third and then two seconds. Stays on well and should be right there this afternoon. MAHABALI has moderate form but Anton Marcus has the ride. A bad draw should hamper MIESQUES BALLOT. Should still have a say on an excellent debut last time. PICADOR has some decent form and was running on over this distance, but at Greyville. Not out of it. Keep an eye on the betting on another Gavin Van Zyl first timer, NO WORRIES (Gavin Van Zyl/Brandon Lerena). Drawn widest of all.

RACE 5:Novice Plate 1750m Bend

STORM ALTERNO (Dennis Drier/Sean Cormack) has been a bit below par in his last three starts. Those were with the blinkers. They have been removed. Expect a good showing from him this afternoon. CHARRO NEGRO (Joey Ramsden/Anton Marcus) runs well at this track. Will be doing good work late. On form must have a shout. JET SET MODEL (Sean Tarry/Anthony Delpech) started as 17/10 favourite at Clairwood on Sunday and duly ran a three length second behind DISCORDIA. Will run well. LORD HAWKE showed very good improvement when running on last time. Will be running on. DYNAMIC STAR has a chance with an apprentice claiming 4kg.

VENGENCE (Joey Ramsden/Anton Marcus) has been racing against stronger. Loses precious ground at the start. Has not won for a while but could win in a weaker lineup. BAMAKO (Sean Tarry/Anthony Delpech) has shown good recent form. Won this C & D last time. Has been running on. Takes on stronger though. POSH BOY also takes a drop in class and should have a shout in this field. LAGO LIDA is never far back. KOMATIPOORT (Mike Bass) may improve.

RACE 7:MR 84 Hcp (F & M) 1200m Straight

ZEMFIRA (Sean Tarry/Anton Marcus) won well against weaker this C & D last time. Will be finding good work late. Has won two from four starts. Could have a bright future. BRATALOOCHEE race raced in the Thekwini last time. Was not disgraced. Should find current company more "friendly". PRINCESS LILY (Alec Laird) faces her toughest assignment to date. Form is good. THAT SO ATSO (Duncan Howells) is improving. Money chance along with MAIGOLD.

DRUMADOON has the form to win. Anthony Delpech, who has ridden her the last two occasions has the ride again. Has dropped in class. WOODEN GOLD has also dropped in class. She loves this C & D and is never far behind. Brandon Lerena rides. Stable companion, INFINITE WISDOM is 3½kg better off with DRUMADOON for a two-length beating last time. Should go closer this time around. QUINTELLA is never far back. Sean Cormack rides for Pat Lunn. DAZZ AL (Alec Laird) won her maiden last time. More to find?
