Beach Beauty Retired to Stud

Drakenstein Stud have pulled off yet another coup in the breeding ranks following on from their purchase of Duke of Marmalade.

Beach Beauty, who retired to stud after her easy win in the Garden Province Stakes on July day, will take up residence at Drakenstein for the upcoming breeding season.

Kevin Sommerville, the racing manager for the Stud, said, "We are very excited that she is coming here. She should arrive after the Gold Cup."

The Dynasty mare is likely one of the leading equine business deals to have been struck in South Africa this year. She is a mare out of the top drawer and would have won feature races at the highest level anywhere in the world.

It would be of no surprise if she went to Duke of Marmalade for her first cover and provide the world with a dream mating.
