R4.5 Million yearling makes Debut

Brutal Force, the highest-priced horse ever sold at public auction in South Africa, makes his debut in the opening maiden at Kenilworth on Wednesday. Bernard Fayd’Herbe rides.
Joey Ramsden said: “He has been doing well and he will run well but he will need a race before he can win.”
The full brother to Red Ray was bought by Markus Jooste for R1.5 million at last year’s CTS Premier Yearling Sale and was then put into the Durbanville Ready To Run Sale in order to qualify him for the R2 million Lanzerac Ready To Run Stakes in November. Jooste had to go R4.5 million to outbid Mike Azzie and Adriaan van Vuuren. (Gold Circle)
