The Avontuur Estate Gr1 Cape Fillies Guineas raceday is one of the premier racing and social events on the Cape Summer Of Champions programme and will be run this year on 6 December at Kenilworth Racecourse in Cape Town.

The race was won last year by champion Jet Master filly In The Fast Lane who has left SA to continue her career overseas.

The race this year is said to be an early target for South Africa’s unbeaten Equus Champion 2yo filly of last season, Majmu.

With R 1000 000 prize money being offered the prestige sponsors, who are breeders of champion racehorses and makers of fine wine, are looking forward to hosting the top 3yo fillies in South Africa.

Avontuur has linked hands this year with the Peninsula Schools Feeding Association and will assist with raising funds to feed hungry kids around the Peninsula.

Bookings for the day are now open and to avoid disappointment it is imperative to make plans early.
