Leading Veterinarian murdered

In shocking news for the Thoroughbred racing industry the former EPOL feeds personality behind the Mike De Kock special feed, 46 year old, Dr Rensia De Wet, was found dead in her house yesterday after she was raped and stabbed in the neck and breast.


Provincial police spokesperson, Brig. Selvy Mohlala said Rensia de Wet, a veterinarian at the Nottinghill Equestrian Centre outside White River was found in her bedroom on Tuesday, 9 December at about 16:30.


“She was found dead by her neighbour with multiple stab wounds in the neck and on the breast. She was half naked and was raped. The police did not notice any sign of forced entry but we are still investigating,” said Mohlala.
A case of murder has been opened and the police are still searching for suspecting. 

Dr. De Wet was a leading Veterinarian in horse nutrition and her international experience was vital in assisting in producing EPOL's premium range and top quality proven feed recipes.
