The South African Jockey Academy would like to congratulate Bryan Claasen and Lerato Mohapi for riding their first winners as qualified jockeys this past weekend!
Race 8 at Greyville Racecourse on Friday 23 January, No. 2 "VITRUVIAN MAN" trained by Weiho Marwing was steered into the winner’s enclosure by Bryan Claasen who became a qualified jockey on 5 January 2015.
Race 4 at Scottsville Racecourse on Sunday 25 January, No. 15 "PRIDE AND JOY" trained by Duncan Howells was despatched into the winner’s enclosure by Lerato Mohapi who became a qualified jockey on 19 January 2015.
The Academy is proud of the achievements of Bryan and Lerato and wishes them the greatest success as they embark on their career as qualified jockeys. May these be the first of many more winners for these newly qualified professional jockeys!
