STORMSVLEI MILE (Listed) - SEVEN GRAND is still improving

The three year old Australian bred filly, SEVEN GRAND has improved in her last two to challenge for top honours in this afternoon's first feature race at Kenilworth. Trainer Mike Bass who has not been having the best of Winter Seasons in Durban this year could change that back in his home town, Cape Town. The three year old filly has improved sufficiently in her last three starts to suggest that she could win. She has faced stronger fields than this before. She did win her maiden over a year ago. Stable jockey, Grant van Niekerk did win that maiden aboard.

MOONSONG MAGIC is in top form and on that form looks to have the credentials to win. She has won two from three starts this C & D and she will be finishing well.

SUNSET TRIPP rallied well to get up on the line over shorter last time. She has raced this distance before but failed to show that day. She is bred to stay the mile and is not without a chance.

CAT AND THE MOON has won against much stronger. Meets SUNSET TRIPP on 1 kg worse terms for a one length loss last time.

CRYSTAL CAVERN could cause an upset, especially with S'Manga Khumalo aboard. He has ridden her to victory when he partnered her to victory two runs back.

1st - SEVEN GRAND (5); 2nd - MOONSONG MAGIC (3); 3rd - SUNSET TRIPP (2); 4th - CAT AND THE MOON (1); 5th - CRYSTAL CAVERN (4)
