Apprentices Eagerly Anticipate Super Saturday

Three apprentices from the South African Jockey Academy, namely Tristan Godden, Callan Murray and Craig Zackey have a total of five rides in three Grade 1 races on Super Saturday at Greyville. All three apprentices are very optimistic about their rides and cannot wait for the big day!
Tristan Godden rides “SINGH IS KING” for Kom Naidoo in the Premier Champion Stakes and said “He won his first race easily and I’m looking forward to another good run and would like to thank the Owner and Trainer for this opportunity!”
Callan Murray rides “SAVAGE WIND” for Joe Soma in the eLAN Property Group Gold Cup and said “I’ve been riding his work and his preparation has gone well, on his last run he is definitely in with a shout and I’m very positive and will do my best for the Owners and Trainer!”
Champion Apprentice elect Craig Zackey has three Grade 1 rides on Super Saturday and partners “OLD EM” in the Thekwini Stakes and “RIKITIKITANA” in the Premiers Champion Stakes for Sean Tarry as well as “STORM WARNING” for Dominic Zaki in the eLAN Property Group Gold Cup. Craig had the following to say about his three rides “OLD EM is a very nice filly, it is her first time going the mile, we also have to overcome a wide draw and I’m looking forward to a good race. RIKITIKITANA is a very nice horse that gets better with each run and I’m expecting a very good run. I’m also expecting a good run from STORM WARNING, his preparation has gone very well and he has come on since his last run where he won by 5 lengths”
