PREMIERS CHAMPION STAKES (Grade 1) - RABADA looking to keep unbeaten record

Each horse in this field takes on stronger making the playing fields level. The unbeaten two year old son of BRAVE TIN SOLDIER, RABADA, will be looking to keep his unbeaten record. He has won both his starts impressively and the extra should suit. Gauteng trainer, Mike Azzie, has done really well in KZN this winter and this could continue this afternoon. he does take on stronger but the way in which he won both starts is encouraging. Jockey Anton Marcus has ridden him in both starts and has the ride again this afternoon.

MOGOK MASTER was not disgraced when a close up fourth in the Golden Horseshoe at this track last time. He ran on well that day and should challenge if repeating. His latest run was meritorious as he was drawn widest and was probably closer to Marriott Road that the inside running rail.

PROSPECT STRIKE ran a good third behind SEVENTH PLAIN in the Grade 1 Gold Medallion at Scottsville three runs back despite racing green. He raced well when winning full of running by almost five lengths at Turffontein last time and makes the trip back down the N3, this time to Greyville, a track he races on for the first time.

CUTTING EDGE won well in a feature race over shorter on July Day last time. he ran on very well that day and should go close, especially over the extra distance.

CAPTAIN'S CAUSEWAY made a winning debut on the Vaal sand last time. He was well supported on debut and must be highly thought of to have been entered in a Grade 1 in his immediate post maiden run.  The progeny of CAPTAIN AL have been on a winning streak in recent months.

1st - RABADA (12); 2nd - MOGOK MASTER (8); 3rd - PROSPECT STRIKE (11); 4th - CUTTING EDGE (3); 5th - CAPTAIN'S CAUSEWAY (2)
