NOBLE TUNE SHINES AT STALLION DAY

Rathmor Stud hosted a magnificent stallion day for their exciting young sire Noble Tune on Sunday. A large crowd turned out in droves to see one of South Africa’s best bred and well performed young stallions –and Noble Tune certainly looked the part! The handsome horse looked in superb fettle, and has let down into a really attractive and imposing young sire –and he certainly has the look of broodmare sire Storm Cat about him.

Noble Tune, who has already 80 mares booked to him for the upcoming breeding season, was a superb racehorse, who won graded races at two and three. Runner up in the G1 Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf, Noble Tune won both the G3 Pilgrim Stakes at two and the G2 American Turf Stakes at three, to establish himself as one of the finest turf performers of his year.

From the same Unbridled male line as last year’s US Triple Crown winner American Pharoah, Noble Tune is one of over 100 stakes winners for his now deceased sire Unbridled’s Song, whose other notable performers include US champion Will Take Charge, and the Breeders’ Cup winners Midshipman, Unrivaled Belle, Liam’s Map (who is out of a mare by Trippi) and Unbridled Elaine.

Noble Tune, whose third dam is US Racing Hall Of Fame member and 11 time G1 winner Serena’s Song, is an exceptionally well bred horse, whose superb physique more than matches his pedigree. A half brother to US champion and dual G1 winner Honor Code (now standing in Kentucky for $40 000), Noble Tune’s first two dams are stakes winning daughters of the great sires and broodmare sires Storm Cat and Mr Prospector.
