Race 1
1-2-8-9
1# Purple Rock: Returns from a lengthy break of 123 days, but he is more than capable of holding his own over this trip, and will be the horse to beat if he is fit and ready.

2# Heracles: Will give the top selection the most cheek, he has his second run after a rest, and will strip a much fitter horse here. He enjoys this course and distance, and is in good nick at the moment.

8# On The Right Path: Has earned a cheque in two of his six starts to date, he steps down in trip, which should suit him, and although he returns from layoff of 126 days, he should give a good account of himself.

9# The Great Victory: Produced a fair debut effort in KZN, he was not disgraced on that ocassion and can once again finish in the quartet. He does return from a 108 day rest, but should be in the mix regardless.

Race 2
7-2-6-1

7# Banner Hill: Is in outstanding form at the moment, he has won two on the bounce, and returns back home, a horse full of confidence, he will be hard to beat at the weights as well. Expect a bold effort here.

2# Red Peril: Won a good race last time out. He loves this course and distance, and even though he is harshly handicapped, he remains the biggest threat to the first selection.

6# Roman Discent: Gave a fair account of himself in his last start, running fourth, he is capable over this course and distance, and should produce another honest effort here.

1# Captain Splendid: Was dissapointing in his most recent racetrack experience, but with that said, he is a graded stakes winner, and enjoys this distance, he cannot be discounted.

Race 3
11-1-2-14

#11 Possibly Me: Was dissapointing last time out, but she still produced a fair effort, and must be given a chance over this trip.

1# Arctic Green: Did not run up to standard in her last start, but she is capable of bouncing back to form here, and will give the top selection the most cheek, having had positive experience over this trip.

2# Desert Dreamer: Should be competitive here, she has shown that she is can handle this distance, and can run into the money, if she produces her best form.

14# Silver Willow: Is a nicely bred individual, based on her pedigree (Silvano - Horse Chestnut mare), she should enjoy this trip, and possibly further in the future.

Race 4
3-8-6-10

3# Waning Crescent: Won a good race last time out, and can follow up here.

8# Elusive Rose: Comes into this race having run back to back fourths, she may be at her best over a little further, but with that said, she will still be very competitive here.

6# Beshayir Girl: Can get her post maiden career off to a good start, by running a place.

10# Hilaria: Ran a place in her most recent race, however the trip here is a concern. But none the less, you can expect a fair performance from her.

Race 5
2-10-7-11

2# Fire Master: Won a pinnacle stakes last time out, and will be competitive again, despite the penalty he received for the victory.

10# Power Grid: Will give the top selection the most cheek, he has won two in a row, and should be running on at the finish.

7# Northern Corner: Stayed on nicely for second in his most recent start behind Fire Master, and can run another place here.

11# Saint Donan: Can once again finish in the quartet.

Race 6
8-4-2-10


8# Show Stealer: Was a runner up last time out, and will go very close again.

4# Viking Voyage: Finished a close second in his most recent race, and it was a tough task to split him and the top selection.

2# Cape Quarter: Made a winning debut, and can follow up with good post maiden run here.

10# Valerio: Has been dissapointing as of late, but he is capable over this distance, and cannot be discounted.

Race 7
3-11-2-9

3# Garden Tea Party: Has been a runner up in her last two outings, she drops in trip, and will be competitive once again.

11# Molly's Chambers: Ran a fair race last time out, she is capable over this distance, and can run a place here.

2# Primrose Lane: Can follow up on her good maiden win first time out, with another honest effort here.

9# Boomtown Belter: Is not in the best form of her life, but she is capable over this course and distance, and cannot be left out of the equation.

Race 8
2-4-11-9

2# Cuduiari: Was a runner up last time out, he has no issues with the distance, expect a bold effort here.

4# Braaistin: Is capable over this distance, and he was a runner up in his most recent race, he will give the top selection the most cheek.

11# All Night Long: Produced the best run of his short career in his latest racetrack experience, and can produce another honest effort here.

9# Red Epitome: Should not be left out of the equation, he is capable of producing another fair effort.
