Smart Call's Sun Chariot run on Racing UK

South African racefans can watch Smart Call's eagerly-anticipated appearance in the Sun Chariot Stakes at Newmarket on October 1, thanks to the Racing UK International Service.

Racing UK, the leading horseracing channel in the UK, covers around 750 race meetings each year from 34 of the leading British tracks, including Epsom, Ascot, Newmarket, Goodwood, York, Newbury, Haydock, Cheltenham and Aintree.

And now viewers can watch the Racing UK channel directly via a live stream. What's more, Racing UK is offering a free one-month trial to international customers by visiting here.

Not only can you watch live racing on on your computer, mobile or tablet, but you can also access the easy-to-navigate seven-day catch up service.

Seb Vance, Director of Communications and PR at Racing UK, said: ”We are now really excited that the rest of the world can taste what British racing has to offer on a daily basis via Racing UK International. We recognise our role in pushing the sport to all racefans and can lay claim to being the first truly international channel.

"We look forward to showcasing this great sport to as wide an audience as possible, in particular the South African audience, who can see how the amazing Smart Call gets on on her British debut on October 1.”

Earlier this year, Racing UK launched its HD channel while it was also reported that it would be adding three new racecourses to its portfolio in 2017, taking the tally to 37 UK tracks. The production team was also called into action in Dubai, after the organisation won the rights to produce and distribute all of Meydan’s racing in the UAE.

The channel boasts a stable of some of the most recognisable faces in horseracing television presentation, such as Nick Luck, Oli Bell and Rishi Persad, and also has called on the likes of former England striker Michael Owen to work as a pundit and ambassador for the channel.

The channel incorporates cutting edge technology such as the HEGO touchscreen, often seen in used in football, which offers in-depth pre- and post-race analysis.

And it’s not just the UK racing which the channel focuses on. Regular racing from France and the UAE is broadcast, in addition to many of the showpiece events across the world. In fact, the channel showed live content from 14 different countries last year.

“We are constantly striving to ensure Racing UK is compelling and essential viewing for all racefans," Vance added. "We are here for the good of racing and hopefully the industry sees us as one its biggest supporters and promoters. Our presentation and production teams live and breathe racing and their passion shines through in the first-class output."
