Power's Brother Looks Pretty Potent.

A Greater Power who is a full brother to former Grade 1 winning juvenile and Hong Kong success, Potent Power (renamed Rocket Let Win) scored his second win from six outings in the sixth race on today's programme at the Vaal Classic.

The three year old bay colt had promising young jockey, Lyle Hewitson aboard who set the South African racing scene alight last season, he wasted absolutely no time losing his claim. This talented apprentice got his well bred mount home, with a very smart ride. This colt is conditioned by none other than champion trainer Sean Tarry, he has been nothing but patient with this individual, he gave him 72 days off after his maiden victory, the decision to rest him rather than race was clearly the right one!

A Greater Power has proven himself to be a useful miler thus far in his career as a racehorse. This colt looks like a very classy and progressive sort, and he is definitely one to keep firmly focused on, until beaten. The colt is by National Emblem out of the Captain Al mare, Solar Galleon. He was bred at Riverton Stud, and is owned by Chris Van Niekerk & Portapa (pty) Ltd.
