Cape Thoroughbred Sales will host its annual Ready To Run Sale Presented by Lanzerac Hotel & Spa at Durbanville racecourse this Saturday.
A one day event, the 2016 Ready To Run Sale will commence at 18:30 on Saturday evening.

Pre-sale gallops have been scheduled to take place at Durbanville the Friday prior to the sale itself.

While the sale itself is a young one (it was held for the first time in 2012, it has already established itself as a prime source of future stars, with previous graduates including such Equus Champions as Always In Charge (Captain Al) and Seventh Plain (Seventh Rock).

Many of South Africa’s top sires are represented with leading sires Captain Al, Dynasty, Judpot, Kahal, Silvano, Trippi, Var and Western Winter all represented with at least one lot.

International sires represented at the 2016 RTR Sale include former Kentucky Derby/Dubai World Cup hero Animal Kingdom (Leroidesanimaux), as well as the likes of Black Caviar’s G1 winning half brother All Too Hard (Casino Prince), red-hot Aussie sire Choisir (Danehill Dancer), former SA champ Delago Deluxe (Encosta De Lago), top miler Excelebration (Exceed And Excel), and former French Derby hero Lope De Vega (Shamardal).
