Secret is Out in Choice Carriers

STAR FILLIES NOMINATED FOR CHOICE CARRIERS
Some of South Africa’s top three-year-old fillies have been nominated to compete in the Gr2 Choice Carriers Fillies Championship.
No fewer than 34 fillies have been nominated for the R400 000 contest, which is due to be run at Kenilworth on October 29th.

Among the star studded entry are no fewer than six stakes winners of last season –headed by undefeated Gr1 Allan Robertson Fillies Championship heroine The Secret Is Out (Captain Al).
Unfortunately the latter –one of two entered in the race by trainer Vaughan Marshall-pulled a wide draw.

Other interesting entries include Gr2 Gold Circle Golden Slipper winner Final Judgement (Judpot), Sail (Philanthropist) –who was placed in both the Gold Slipper and Gr1 Thekwini Stakes last season, the hugely promising Smokey Affair (Elusive Fort), and Gr3 Champion Juvenile Cup victress O Tamara (Argonaut).

The latter is one of two Port Elizabeth entries in the race –with the other being Hurricane Shelley (Argonaut).

The regally bred Premier Dance (a Silvano half sister to former Equus Champion Capetown Noir) is one of three Dennis Drier trained entries –with the others being the aforementioned Sail and The High Life (Horse Chestnut).

The Fillies Championship is the principal trial for the Gr1 World Sports Betting Cape Fillies Guineas, with previous winners including the subsequent Fillies Guineas winners Silver Mountain (Silvano), In The Fast Lane (Jet Master), Princess Victoria (Victory Moon), and Ebony Flyer (Jet Master).
