#5 Grumble: Finished the runner up over this course and distance in his latest performance, he improved greatly considering that he had no form prior to this, and is the horse to beat if he can reproduce that run. The experienced Greg Cheyne retains the ride for trainer Allan Greeff.

2nd,3rd,4th: #1 Kentucky Prince, #9 Honeybush Tea, #7 Chestnut's Vow

#7 Matador In Red: Rose to the ocassion to score a good win in his last outing, he has in fact won two of his last three starts and is a promising stayer in the making. Last season's Met winning jockey Jean Paul Vander Merwe retains the ride for conditioner Gavin Smith.

2nd,3rd,4th: #6 Dreamforest, #3 Oh So Modus, #7 Global Express

#2 Main Attraction: Had to play second fiddle in her most recent race, she is a very versatile sort having placed from 1200m to a mile, this mare is always there and there abouts and she will be a lively contender under one of PE's top heavyweight jockeys Wayne Agrella who retains for trainer Dorrie Sham.

2nd,3rd,4th: #1 Nurse Harriet, #2 Rustic Sunrise, #4 Bird Of War

Race 4

#5 Off To Gaul: Emerged victorious over this course and distance in his last start, he looks to be a very progress sort and should be capable of following up in this contest. He gets the services of quality jockey Raymond Danielson who steps up for the Tara Laing stable.

2nd,3rd,4th: #8 Flying Fool, #11 Orcadian Forest, #10 Roman Garrison

Race 5

#2 Lemon Lily: Has been very consistent as of late, she has won two of her last four outings placing twice. She absolutely loves this course and distance, and can be a major factor in this race under jockey Luyolo Mxothwa who retains the ride for the Grant Paddock yard.

2nd,3rd,4th: #4 One Love, #5 Gift Of Gold,, #16 Silver Rain

#2 Lightning Bolt: Won a good race over this course and distance last time out, and bids for back to back victories with the experienced Greg Cheyne up for the Allan Greeff stable. He does have a wide draw to overcome, but will none the less be very competitive in this contest.

#5 Peonie Rock: Bids for a hatrick of wins with last season's Met winning jockey Jean Paul Vander Merwe in the irons for the Gavin Smith yard. She does take on a strong field, but having said that she is very talented and has loads of scope for improvement.

Race 8

#12 Raspberry Lips: Ran a fair race in her latest racetrack experience, she will have no issues with today's course and distance, and will have every chance under promising young rider Craig Zackey who will do duty for trainer Corne Spies.

2nd,3rd,4th: #3 Party Tibbs, #8 Vanda, #6 Chasing Angels
