#6 GreenFlashSunset: Produced an eye catching debut over six furlongs on this course three weeks ago, and this extremely well bred colt should have come on leaps and bounds from that run. He is a Gimmethegreenlight half brother to multiple Grade 1 winner and former Equus Horse The Year Legislate. He gets the services  of champion jockey S'manga Khumalo who takes the ride for trainer Justin Snaith.

#4 Border Control: Makes his debut in this contest, he is a very well bred individual being a half brother to multiple graded stakes winner Alexis. He could pose a serious threat to his rivals if he is not to green. Former champion jockey Andrew Fortune does duty for the Brett Crawford stable.

Race 3

#2 Put The Berries: Ran a fair race last time out, despite having the saddle slip. She is the form horse on a line through Miss Hyde, and is the horse to be if she reproduces her penultimate effort. She does enjoy this course and distance, and the evergreen Andrew Fortune climbs aboard her for trainer Brett Crawford.

#4 Northern Ballet: Has been a runner up in her last two outings, and looks ready to win again. She loves this course and distance, and will be a major factor in this contest under champion jockey S'manga Khumalo who steps up for conditioner Justin Snaith.

#4 Union Jack: Finished third in his most recent race, he has been competing at a mile as of late, but will have no problems coming back to seven furlongs. Admittedly he is drawn wide, but he will be partnered by the experienced Greg Cheyne who takes the ride for trainer Brett Crawford.

#5 Captain Gambler: Caught the eye when returning from a layoff, over a trip to short for her. She finished the runner up in a six furlong event on that ocassion, and will be far more at home over an extra two hundred meters. She has already tasted feature race success, and is a horse on the up. Promising young rider Donovan Dillon will be in the irons for the Joey Ramsden stable.

#8 Dawn Rising: Made solid improvement over this course and distance in her last start. This filly is coming along the right way and she could be very tough to beat if she reproduces her last run. Champion jockey S'manga Khumalo has been booked to ride for trainer Justin Snaith.
