Greenstreet Winners Aplenty

GREEN Street Bloodstock registered their third winner for the month of October when Justin Snaith-trained Midtown Manhattan won a Maiden Plate over 1200m at Durbanville on Saturday.

GSB’s other runner on the day, Kapenta Bay, finished third in a Maiden Plate over 1600m.

Midtown Manhattan, a Rosedene Stud-bred by Grey’s Inn, won easily by two lengths and GSB’s Justin Vermaak commented: “Midtown Manhattan is looking for 1600m and looks set to win a good few races. It is always nice to supply our owners with a horse of quality that cost only R40,000.”

Later on Saturday, Vermaak was active at Saturday’s Lanzerac CTS Ready To Run Sale at Durbanville, purchasing three choice lots for Green Street Bloodstock shareholders.
He noted about them:

Lot 72: Unnamed Judpot colt x Copper Jet (Lecture) – Nadeson Park Stud

“This one had a speedy breeze-up and has a good female line of sprinters, including Copper Parade, by one of my favourite stallions. We are excited to send him to Vaughan Marshall, our first horse with him, we will be aiming him at the new CTS R1-million race for two-year-olds on Sun Met Day and we’ll be hoping we get a run for connections on the day.”

Lot 106: Justice League (pictured), by Bold Silvano x Grima (Goldkeeper) – Soetendal Estate

“A big son of Bold Silvano who looks to go a trip, I love the damsire, Goldkeeper – this is a good female line which includes Captain America, he is a very similar looking horse and naturally will go into training with Brett Crawford.”

Lot 108: Unnamed Oratorio colt x Halfmoonrising (Captain Al) – Normandy Stud

“Very happy with this buy, he has been working well leading up to the sale and to get an Oratorio out of a black-type Captain Al mare for R100,000 is a steal. He looks a classic type and is to be trained by Justin Snaith.”

Justin thanked the GSB shareholders for their ongoing support.
