Greyville Polytrack October 19th

 Race 1

#11 Terabyte: Made solid improvement at the second time of asking, over seven furlongs on this course. The step up to a mile should suit him down to the bone, and he gets the services of quality jockey Sean Veale, who retains the ride for the Dennis Drier yard.

2nd, 3rd, 4th: #1 Cossack Guard, #10 Strom Hero, #12 Warfarer

Race 2

#2 Queen Diva: Finished a runner up over a mile on the grass last time out, and this filly will have no issues reverting back to racing on the poly. She finished a length behind the talented Inga, and will be very tough to beat if she reproduces that run. She will jump from a good draw of three, which will increase her chances of victory greatly. Hard working jockey Brandon Lerena steps ups for trainer Robbie Hill.

2nd, 3rd, 4th: #1 Fashion Quest, #6 Maximum Refund, She's a Joe

Race 3

#1 Brave Knight: Produced a smart effort in his most recent race over five furlongs on this course. He should have no problems with the extra two hundred meters, and will jump from a favourable draw of five. He will be a major factor in this contest if he can hold his form, under Brandon Lerena who takes the ride for conditioner Duncan Howells.

2nd, 3rd, 4th: #7 Distant Place, #12 Zloty Potok, #3 Prince Myshkin

Race 4

#2 Swiss Note: Ran a fair race in her latest performance on this course over the minimum trip and will be a lot better with an extra furlong to work with. The 4kg claim of apprentice Dennis Schwarz could very well make all the difference, and the fact that she is drawn in stall gate no.3 is a definite bonus. Chris Erasmus is responsible for her conditioning, and he will be hoping that his filly can produce the goods.

2nd, 3rd, 4th: #3 At Variance, #8 Rebel Rose, #7 Winnieshob

Race 5

#9 Dawn Calling: Had to play second fiddle in two top two year old features for fillies at the end of her juvenile campaign last season. She makes her first appearance as a sophomore in this graduation place and even though she is probably at her best between 1400 and a mile, her class should pull her through under multiple July winning jockey Anton Marcus, who will do duty for trainer Duncan Howells.

2nd, 3rd, 4th: #1 Free State, #3 Cosmic Burst, #10 Just Vogue

Race 6

#6 King Django: Gets the nod based on the draws, he ran a good race in his last start over seven furlongs on this course. He should have absolutely no issues with the drop in trip, as he has proven himself capable of handling 1200m on many occasions. Anton "Superman" Marcus will climb aboard him for the Dennis Bosch stable.

2nd, 3rd, 4th: #4 Texas Cowboy, #9 Delicious Damowin, #10 Triple O Seven

Race 7

#1 Sovereign Reign: Emerged victorious over five furlongs on this course in his last visit to the racetrack, he should have no issues with the step up to a mile and will go very close under apprentice Dennis Schwarz who takes the ride for trainer Yogas Govendor.

2nd, 3rd, 4th: #2 Silence Descends, #5 In Tribute, #6 Roman Carnival

Race 8

#1 Thirtytwosquadron: Must be forgiven for a below par effort over a mile in his most recent race. That was hopelessly to short for him, and he is the horse to beat if he reproduces his penultimate effort, which saw him finish the runner up over this course and distance. Apprentice Tristan Godden will be in the irons for the Charles Laird yard.

2nd, 3rd, 4th: #8 Emperor Niarchos #5 Born To Rule, #2 Tanjiro

Best Bets: Terabyte, Dawn Calling, Sovereign Reign

Value Bet: Brave Knight
