Vaal Classic Thursday October 20th

 Race 1

#6 Secret Vision: Finished the runner up when returning from a lengthy layoff in her most recent race. She will a strip a much fitter horse for this contest, and could be tough to beat if she reproduces her fourth place finish in the Pretty Poly stakes a two year old.

2nd, 3rd, 4th: #1 Chinese Whisper, #5 Goodness Me, #8 Al Danza

Race 2

#16 Lebanese Tractor: Produced a smart effort over six furlongs in her latest performance. She should have no issues with the drop down to 1000m, this filly will be very competitive despite being drawn wide, and she has plenty of racetrack experience, which could make all the difference.

2nd, 3rd, 4th: #11 Collabro, #10 Mumster, #8 Dancing Rebel

Inc: 1,5

Race 3

#11 At a Glance: Made solid improvement at the second time of asking, she finished the runner up on that ocassion and can certainly go one better here. This filly looks to be coming along the right way, and is the one they all have to beat despite being drawn widest of all.

2nd, 3rd, 4th: #7 Set On Swank, #1 Lily Love, #15 Silver Jay

Inc: 5,6,14

Race 4

#1 Ruby Bay: Is an extremely well bred individual; she is a half sister to Grade 1 producing stallion Seventh Rock, and this long time maiden should finally get it right in this contest. She was dissapointing last time out, but having said that she runs in blinkers for the first time which may prove to be deceive.

2nd, 3rd, 4th: #2 Greek Honey, #6 Sammi Moosa, #3 Love Tryst

Inc: 4,10

Race 5

#4 Voodoo: Had to settle for second in his last start, he produced a much improved effort over ten furlongs and this colt will go very close if he holds his form.

2nd, 3rd, 4th: #1 King Of Cloth, #5 Mambo's In Town,#8 Scholar Patrol

Inc: 11,12

Race 6

#1 Malala: Was a runner up in her last outing, she is showing great potential at the moment, and should give a good account of herself in this contest.

2nd, 3rd, 4th: #8 The Red List, #9 Star Of Caesour, #2 Little Tokyo

Inc: 3,4,5

Race 7

#2 Doubly Attractive: Played second fiddle in her latest racetrack experience, that performance came over 1200m, but she should have no issues with the extra ground in this event, she can go close from a good draw.

2nd, 3rd, 4th: #14 Third Dan, #1 Capricious, #13 Subtle Force

Inc: 11

Race 8

#11 Brave Nation: Must be forgiven for a below par effort in his latest performance, he was returning from a rest and was always going to find six furlongs a touch sharp. The colt will be a whole lot better with an extra 200m to work with, and should be in the line of fire at the business end of the race.

2nd: #12 Just As Frisky, #16 Queen Annie #1 Payne's Grey

Inc: 4

Best Bets: Secret Vision, Lebanese Tractor, At A Glance, Ruby Bay
