SHARE IN CLASSIC SIRE LE HAVRE KNOCKED DOWN FOR €400,000 Online

Hesmonds Stud was the buyer of the very first stallion share to be offered on the innovative platform Arqanaonline.com back in November 2015, a share in Siyouni for €355,000, and returned to the well last week to secure the final share in Wootton Bassett for €120,000. Nurlan Bizakov’s East Sussex farm was back in action today and had the final word for the share in Classic sire LE HAVRE at €400,000.

Over 20 breeders had registered for the rare opportunity to step into a stallion whose limits are still unknown: his first three crops to race, produced off a €5,000 fee, have lifted 17 black type winners including the dual classic victrix AVENIR CERTAIN and LA CRESSIONNIÈRE. The latter is still unbeaten in 8 starts and set to stay in training next year. Le Havre is also the side of Group winners/performers SUÉDOIS, ZGHORTA DANCE, AUVRAY, QUEEN BEE, CRISOLLES etc.
Earlier this week, Haras de la Cauvinière announced that Le Havre would cover at a fee of €60,000 in 2017.

Formerly owned by the Goulandris family, Hesmonds Stud was purchased by Kazakh owner-breeder Nurlan Bizakov in 2010. The farm has around 25 quality mares and the ambition to develop a high-end operation.

Stud manager Tony Fry commented on his latest acquisition: “Le Havre is a stallion we have believed in for a long time and this purchase is an investment for the long term. We sent him two mares in 2015, one this year, and for 2017 we already had him down for Elik, a daughter of Dalakhani out of Elopa, and Zimira, an Invincible Spirit from the family of Barathea. We will see whether we change our plans further to this purchase. I don’t need to say much about Le Havre: he does the talking and his results are here for everyone to see. What he has achieved so far is very impressive and he is set to continue in the same direction. We are also looking forward to partnering with Mathieu Alex and all the team at Haras de la Cauvinière, who have done a fantastic job with Le Havre and have been a pleasure to deal with. »
