Last season's South African Champion Apprentice Callan Murray rode his first winner in Australia aboard Strictly Legit (Niconni x Divine Choice) who is stabled at Linsdsay Park where he is conditioned by Hall of fame trainer David Hayes, Ben Hayes and Tom Dabering.

Murray is spending seven weeks with the team, and they are giving the young man plenty of opportunities which is most encouraging for Callan, as he will gain invaluable experience and insight into the Australia racing industry.

Murray should bring a few more home before his stint down under comes to an end, but one thing is for sure, our very own South African Jockey Academy knows how to mould the champion riders of tomorrow and everyone who is involved with racing in this country should be very proud of this young talent!
