It All Started With A Kiss: Antonius Pius Filly Has Great Ability

In the mid 2000's there was a racemare by the name of Kiss For Kate, She was a daughter of proflic sire and broodmare sire Jallad (USA) out of Kissnational a mare by National Assembly (CAN). Kiss For Kate was a very fast filly and she had ability to boot, she ended up being a three time winner from 1000m - 1200m.

Her first foal was born in 2011, a bay colt by successful sire Toreador (IRE) his name is Thrust. This particular individual is an honest 6 time winner who always tries his very best. A full sister to Thrust was born the following year, her name is Spanish Kiss and she is a useful two time winner, who ran second in her most recent appearance on the racetrack. It would be two more years until Kiss For Kate had another foal, in 2014 she foaled down another filly, this one by Antonius Pius (USA) himself a son of the legendary Northern Dancer (CAN) stallion Danzig (USA) she is aptly named Kissable.

This filly is unbeaten in two starts as a juvenile, and it's the manner in which she puts her opposition away that is most encouraging. She broke her maiden by 6 lengths, and won her second start by 7! And with the form of her first victory all, but franked she looks like a very nice horse in the making for trainer Paul Matchett, regular rider Randall Simons and owner Mr F Bronkhost. Kissable was produced at Moutonshoek , a stud farm in the Western Cape's Piketberg.
