Holy Art Thou Who Wins First Time Out

King's Chapel (AUS) was represented by an impressive debut winner this afternoon at Flamingo Park. The Tienie Prinsloo trained Bishop Of Bombay was slow away, but he quickly found his stride and ran on smartly to win a race full of merit. Apprentice Mpumelelo Mjoka ( - 2.5 kg) gave the colt a professional ride which was simply out of the top draw.

Bishop Of Bombay was produced at Arzeka Stud, the establishment of Karoo breeder Karenza Fourie. The colt's dam Roman World by Caesour (USA) broke her maiden by 6 lengths on the Vaal Sand over 1200m, and she has clearly passed her speed onto her offspring.

The sire King's Chapel (AUS) won 10 races from 1200 - 1600m, and was New Zeeland Horse of the Year as a 3yo. Some of his notable offspring inculde Group 2 winner King's Ransom, Group 3 scorer King Montrose and the stakes performer Princess Emmy. He stands at Bush Hill Stud in Kwazulu - Natal at a service fee of R5000 (live foal guaranteed).

There could be plenty more to come from Bishop Of Bombay, he may develop into a smart sprinter - miler as time goes on.
