From Frankel To Arrogate Its All The Same For Juddmonte

Prince Khalid Abdullah's world class breeding establishment Juddmonte Farms, with a storied history which dates back to the late 70's - early 80's, when the likes of Known Fact and Rainbow Quest were the talk of the turf, has become an even bigger powerhouse in recent memory.

The mighty Frankel; a product of the super sire Galileo and the equally prolific broodmare Kind, was foaled at the farm on February 11th 2008, and rouse to fame during the 2010 season, when capturing the imagination of racing enthusiasts, with a mesmerizing victory by 13 lengths in the Frank Whittle Stakes on only his second start. Frankel went on to score in no less than 10 Group 1 races, which include the 2000 Guineas, Dewhurst, St. James Palace, Queen Anne, International and Champion Stakes. He was unbeaten in 14 career starts, all of which were won under Frankel's most faithful friend jockey Tom Queally, the wonder horse was a source of joy in the final days of his conditioner, the late Henry Cecil who sadly succumbed to cancer on June 11th 2013 at the age of 70. Frankel will in all likelihood be remembered as the greatest miler of the 21st century, with a cruising speed that was absolutely second to none and heart to back it up, memories of this majestic equine athlete are surely lingering in the minds of many, his name a catalyst for future generations.

An age old saying that most are aware of, makes it abundantly clear that most good things only happen once in a lifetime, "lightning doesn't strike twice". Clearly that rule does not apply to Juddmonte who not only bred and owned Frankel (world's best horse in 2011 and 2012), but have been blessed with another horse of similar talent, the only real difference being their preffered surface. Arrogate has become one of the sports fastest rising stars, after winning 2 optional claiming races on the bounce, he scored 4 consecutive Gr1 victories including the 2017 Dubai World Cup. The grey gladiator was taken to the UAE, after his win in the world's richest horserace, the $12 000 000 Pegasus World Cup. Arrogate was nothing short of sensational when scoring in the Dubai World Cup, he broke dead last, but then he did what true champions always do, he found a way to overcome being in a bad spot, Arrogate improved position under legendary American jockey Mike Smith, as the race went on and was poised to strike at the top of the stretch, and when he took the lead it was simply poetry in motion.

Arrogate justified the confidence of trainer Bob Baffert, who has had his fair share of success through the years, but almost certainly none like this! He is a superior Thoroughbred who has touched the sky, but if anything Arrogate may have already taken aim at space.
