SUCCESS DAYS SCORES AT YORK

The Group 2 York Stakes was the feature event on the Knavesmire on Saturday and it went the way of the Ken Condon-trained five-year-old SUCCESS DAYS (IRE). The son of Jeremy made all the running and although the seven-year-old Mondialiste (IRE) (Galileo (IRE)) finished strongly, SUCCESS DAYS (IRE) fought gamely to hold on by a nose.

Having looked a Classic contender following wins in the Group 3 Ballysax Stakes and Group 3 Derrinstown Stud Derby Trial, SUCCESS DAYS (IRE) suffered a serious injury in the Epsom Derby that year, which required six weeks’ box rest. He subsequently beat FASCINATING ROCK (IRE) in the Group 3 Royal Whip Stakes, and finished second to none other than FOUND (IRE) in the Group 3 Mooresbridge Stakes last season.

SUCCESS DAYS (IRE) will most likely reappear on Irish Champions Weekend and holds an entry in the Group 1 Irish Champion Stakes, among other others entries over the weekend. Bred by Robert Ng and Dermot Farrington, he runs in the colours of Robert Ng.
