The Avontuur bred Legal Eagle was the star of the show in the breeders award, with the former Horse Of The Year picking up three Cape Breeders awards, including the coveted title of Horse Of The Year.
In racing awards, the Brett Crawford trained Captain America, whose breeders Varsfontein Stud received the Outstanding Breeder Of the Year award, dominated by claiming three titles, including that of Cape Racing’s Horse Of The Year.
Edict Of Nantes (Count Dubois) and Just Sensual (Dynasty) won both the Breeders and Racing titles of Champion Three-Year-old Colt/Filly respectively.
