DREAMS OF THE FUTURE

Over the years there have been reams of newsprint devoted to the ability of Sir Michael Stoute to conjure improvement out of horses as they get older. There are any number of high profile examples, with Ulysses (IRE) the most recent.

This kind of intro sets a big task for DREAM OF DREAMS (IRE), but he is certainly progressing the right way judged on how he won the Listed Wentworth Stakes on the final day of the Flat season at Doncaster on Saturday.

Six furlong on soft ground appear his optimum conditions and there should be races at a higher level that fit this criteria when he is a four-year-old next year.

DREAM OF DREAMS is out of unraced half-sister to Group 1 sprint winners Airwave and Jwala and his half-brother Silverheels won eight times up to a mile.

At the same venue, STAR ROCK (IRE) became yet another stakes winner from the potent Fastnet Rock-Galileo mare cross when landing the Listed Gillies Fillies’ Stakes over 12 furlongs. This was the third win in her last four starts.

Fastnet Rock-Galileo line from Coolmore Stud has struck it rich over the past 12 months or so via the likes of Group 1 winners Rivet (IRE), Intricately (IRE) and Zhukova (IRE).
