Whisky Baron Aims At HK, but no Dubai race

The now well travelled Whisky Baron has raced in England and Dubai without success but the resilient connections have placed Hong Kong on their radar as they aim for the prestigious Audemars Piguet QE II Cup.

The Sun Met winner of a few years ago lists that race as his last win and has flattered in his Dubai debut following that up with a below part run in his latest.

The possible Hong Kong showdown won't be any easier either but the gutsy South African carries the hope of the nation if competing.

He has not been selected for a World Cup night run leaving only Janoobi and Al Sahem to represent SA in one of our lowest tally of runners for that prestigious night.

Hong Kong has combined the three Group 1's into one day previously separated by a week to make a second festival of racing following the successful December races.
