CORINTHIA CONTINUES PROFITABLE RUN

CORINTHIA KNIGHT (IRE) brought his winning run to four and his earnings past €225,000 with a valuable victory in the Three-Year-Old All-Weather Championships Stakes at Lingfield on Good Friday. A Listed winner in France last time out, Oisin Murphy kept the ride and drove his mount out to win by half a length, as Lake Volta (IRE) came with a late run to finish second.

Bought at the Tattersalls Ireland September Yearling Sale for just €15,000 by Blandford Bloodstock and trainer Archie Watson, CORINTHIA KNIGHT (IRE) has been a terrific campaigner for the Ontoawinner syndicate. As well as winning on seven occasions, he brought connections to Del Mar, where he finished fourth in a Listed contest on the Breeders’ Cup undercard.

Bred and sold by Tally-Ho Stud, he is a flagbearer for their late sire Society Rock (IRE) and is a half-brother to Italian Listed performer North Ireland (IRE). Their unraced Grand Lodge dam is a half-sister to Group 2 runner-up Ascot Glory (IRE), while Grade 1 winner Delighter, Oaks third Oakmead (IRE) and Prix Vermeille third feature further down the page.
