South Africa have won the bid to stage the Asian Racing Conference in 2020.

The news was announced in Seoul where the current conference is being held. The conference will be held in Cape Town in February 2020, in all likelihood to follow on after the Sun Met meeting.

The previous conference (2016) was hosted in Mumbai, a flashy event, that was one of the best hostings in modern times. Prior to that Hong Kong hosted the event, Dubai, Istanbul and Tokyo were also recent hosts of this event that takes place every two years.

It will a mammoth task for the NHA to organize and it will no doubt showcase South Africa to the racing world. The last time South Africa hosted the event it was held in Sun City in 1995.
