HISTORIC ACHIEVEMENT: RACHEL KING GRANTED PRESTIGIOUS LICENSE

The Japan Racing Association (JRA) has officially accepted Rachel King's application for a short-term jockey license, commencing on January 6th, 2024.

Internationally acclaimed as a seasoned jockey, Rachel King has made significant strides in recent competitions, including the 2023 World All-Star Jockey Series (WAS) and the Longines Hong Kong International Jockey Challenge, where she secured notable second and third positions, respectively. Her next venture involves establishing herself at the Miho Training Center, enjoying sponsorship from renowned trainer Noriyuki Hori. Notably, Hori boasts a track record of training International Group 1 winners such as Maurice, Real Impact, Satono Crown, and the 2023 Tokyo Yoshun (Japanese Derby) victor, Tastiera. Furthermore, Hori collaborates with other global jockey talents like Damian Lane, Joao Moreira, and Ryan Moore.

Expressing her gratitude, Rachel King states, "I am honored to be granted a license by the Japan Racing Association, marking a pivotal moment in my career. This opportunity is a dream come true, highlighting the global impact of horse racing. Beginning my riding journey in the UK, then competing among some of Australia's finest athletes, and now venturing into one of the most exclusive jurisdictions is genuinely exhilarating. I am thankful for the support that has led me to this significant milestone."
