The exceptional filly Mawj is poised to embark on her four-year-old season with aspirations of securing a third G1 title as she headlines the G1 Jebel Hatta at Meydan's Fashion Friday meeting on January 26.

Under the guidance of trainer Saeed bin Suroor, Mawj, the half-sister to Modern Games, returns to Meydan following a remarkable 2023, marked by victories in the Jumeirah Fillies Classic and Jumeirah Fillies Guineas.

Mawj's impressive track record includes a tenacious triumph over Tahiyra in the G1 1,000 Guineas at Newmarket. Despite facing a mid-season chest infection, the daughter of Exceed And Excel bounced back with an authoritative wire-to-wire victory in the G1 Queen Elizabeth II Challenge Cup at Keeneland in October.
