Winx made it 24 wins in a row, and a hat-trick of George Ryder Stakes victories, as the champion of Australian racing did her thing on Golden Slipper Day at Rosehill.

She was tested by Happy Clapper, only a length away in second, and a further length back to colt Kementari, but she passed it with flying colours - and in turn made it a world-record 17 Group 1 victories.

It was her 28th overall racetrack success from her 34th start, and takes her career earnings to $16,556,925.

Trainer Chris Waller said the decision on whether Winx travels would be made publicly very soon, and confirmed that it was very likely it will be a quick mission to Europe if they do go.

"After the George Ryder," Waller joked of when the decision on overseas travel would be made, to Sky Thoroughbred Central.

"To be fair to the owners, we haven't even discussed it.

"We know when it [Royal Ascot] is, and where the races are in Europe.

"Today was very important, to come back and be fairly dominant.

"And in three weeks' time there's the Queen Elizabeth, the signature Sydney race which we were never really going to miss unless we were going to campaign [with several runs] in Europe.

"So we have to talk about coming back, if she went to Europe, and race in a fourth Cox Plate - she can only really go there for one run, possibly two.

"But we've got to put all the cards on the table, talk to the owners, check on the horse is most important, and we'll let you all know.

"Her career has never been hidden - we do respect everybody that follows her here, and over the other side of the world."

Hugh Bowman said he was comfortable sitting wide on Winx, and was wary of not letting the front-runners sneak away with the easy early tempo in the 1500m Group 1.

"It's just incredible. I'm not as tired as I was after I rode Prized Icon!" Bowman said, comparing to his earlier ride in the 2000m Ranvet Stakes.

"She's a bit more comfortable.

"It was a bit of a tactical race, there was no pressure early. I never went in behind Brenton [Avdulla on Kementari] because I could feel I was getting away from them.

"They're high-class horses - what I've never done is treat my opposition with disrespect.

"Happy Clapper is a supreme athlete. This mare is just better than them.

"A world record... what a special horse she is, and so grateful to be her jockey."
