Smart Call Sadly Disappoints again

Smart Call disappointed her followers yet again and has not won anywhere in the world since her move overseas.

The Jessica Slack owned Sun Met winner hasn't won since that great day and failed again in an all weather Listed race at Kempton on Saturday.

She was beaten by a French raider Hunaina and more than half the field as she was prominent in the early stages of the event only to flop on the run in. She has had numerous chances at various levels having been given a run, given a chance and given her best only to fall short. She just may not be the horse she was or not good enough in the tough English environment under the care of expert trained Sir Michael Stoute.

Credit must be given to the owner for having given her every chance to prove herself in the UK, Ireland France and even Hong Kong.

It's either back to the drawing board or stud for the South African. Either way, she has left that huge mark in 2016 on that sunny day in Cape Town. We won't forget that.
