March Music is the obvious and strong first choice. Classy sort who has the best two year old maiden form in the Eastern Cape. French Nobility was running on, on his debut and was well beaten on his second start against winners. Clear second choice. Domremy has been well beaten over the sprints. The ground may be to his advantage.

Mackerel Sky could be the best of a very weak bunch of runners where the winner could come from the unraced ranks. Mackerel Sky was a runner up last time and is a long time maiden. Sports Chic had run the odd decent race but nothing great to date. She is speed though. Sixtythree was backed into favourite on debut but showed very little. More expected now.

The Goon Show was slightly disappointing last time out in a weak maiden field. Place again.
