Race 1

The first timer Eskimo Kisses is short in the betting and current race favourite. Of the raced runners See You Tyger improved nicely last time and could be the right one here. Fararanga has been a long time maiden and placed many times. Must have another chance here.

Race 2
The exceptionally well bred first timer Blossom is the current favourite but of the raced runners Dream On has the best and most consistent form. Shezahotti is well tried but consistent. Place chance.

Race 3
Blanco is another first timer favourite for Gavin Lerena, a third in three races. Of the races runners, Rivonia Boulevard has had three nice runs but has something to find to win. Long time off though and fitness concerns exist. First timer Greatest Wish from the De Kock yard also should be watched.

Race 4
Interesting and open Handicap with top weight Redberry Wood the pick. The comeback run was impressive behind Shelly and she should be better for that effort now. Exclusivity dropped in division and subsequently improved. Place chance here. Ossetra has been in prime form for some time now but hasn't won. Another place chance.

Race 5
Illegal looks a progressive type but hasn't won since the maiden. Today maybe that day after a nice effort last time. Free And Easy must be given another chance after not striding out last time. The form prior is highly impressive. Opera was close up second last time out and has another good run in her here.

Race 6
Nursery winner William The Silent makes his much awaited seasonal bow here in an assessment plate. A disappointing last run but was impressive prior. Top sort. Shufoog was disappointing in the last two but prior to that run some smart races. Royal Cavalier was just off them in an assessment plate last time. Place chance again.

Race 7
Make Your Move was impressive behind a nice type in this division and could go close here. Norland won last time out and could place here. Whitehaven was disappointing behind a top sort last time and could improve to place here.

Race 8
Bronx Bomber has dropped nicely in the ratings and is a big runner here. Cardiff Castle has had a few runs in Gauteng since his Cape exploits and seems to run well in this division. Time To Be Great has run two nice races and seems to be coming to hand.
