The hastily arranged meeting at Fairview proved a happy hunting ground for the powerful Greeff Stable as the Port Elizabeth Tuesday crowd saw a five win day for Alan.

The stable started with a cracking win from the Australian Bred Landela and also surprised the punters with the outsider Love Dove at 15/1 under the reigns of Sandile Khathi. The rest of winners were ridden by stable elect Greg Cheyne.

The disappointment of the card was arguably the classy filly What A Player who seems to find a bad run every now and then in between some excellent results.

The Cheyne - Greeff combination opened the meeting with four winners and started favourite in every race on the card. It always looked like a big day for Greeff but having favourites and winning are two very different propositions.
