Investigations Flamingo Park 6 May 2019

The National Horseracing Authority confirms that the following investigations that were opened during the Flamingo Park race meeting on 6 May 2019, have been concluded.

 

· An incident that occurred in the Jockeys’ Room at Flamingo Park prior to the running of Race 5 on 6 May 2019 was investigated and Admission of Guilt fines were signed by:-

 

- Jockey E Webber admitted that he contravened Rule 72.1.25 in that he misbehaved and conducted himself in an improper manner in the Jockeys’ Room prior to the running of Race 5. Mr Webber was fined an amount of R10 000 of which R5 000 is wholly suspended for one year, on condition that he is not found guilty of contravening Rules relating to his conduct during this period.

 

- Jockey J Penny admitted that he contravened Rule 72.1.25 in that he misbehaved and conducted himself in an improper manner in the Jockeys’ Room prior to the running of Race 5. Mr Penny was fined an amount of R10 000 of which R5 000 is wholly suspended for one year, on condition that he is not found guilty of contravening Rules relating to his conduct during this period.

 

· Trainer C J Lensley admitted that he contravened Rule 72.1.45 in that he presented a horse to race when this horse was not ARCTIC PARTY which was carded to race in Race 3. Mr Lensley was fined an amount of R10 000.
