Darley Australia Announce Stud Fees

Darley has made some significant changes to its service fees with prices acknowledging the challenges the industry and the wider world is facing due to COVID-19.

The majority of their stallions’ fees have dropped from between 10 per cent to 33 per cent, with the exception of champion sire Exceed And Excel.

Exceed And Excel, who headlines Darley’s New South Wales operation will stand for $132,000, while first season sires Too Darn Hot ($44,000) and Microphone ($38,500) will also stand there.

Brazen Beau ($49,500) is Darley’s most expensive Victorian sire with Blue Point set to stand for $44,000 in his first Australian season.

“We’ve been supportive in our approach to service fees for 2020 and we hope breeders can appreciate that and take advantage of a roster that has value, variety and quality,” said Vin Cox, Managing Director, Godolphin Australia.

“We have a great bunch of stallions for 2020 and we continue to offer the most generous nomination fee terms in the business.

“The success of the breeders and buyers who support our stallions is our end goal.”

Exceed And Excel’s fee has gone from $88,000 to $132,000 including GST.

“Exceed And Excel’s momentum on the racetrack - and in the sales ring - this season has been enormous. His progeny are winning serious races that add value with the likes of the G1 Sires’ Produce, the G1 Coolmore Stud Stakes and the G1 Newmarket Handicap,” said Cox.
